Ceramics

GCSE - Portfolio student work
GCSE artworks from previous schools Heather has taught at. Note: She cannot share recent GCSE artworks as they are being submitted for their exams and the school is new and in its first GCSE cohort.
GCSE demonstration sketchbooks
Heather makes these artworks in demonstrations alongside her GCSE Fine Art classes to showcase what is possible and to give students the feeling of safety as they independently create their own portfolios. These are not finished artworks, just captured points in lessons.
HMc Draw With Me
Series of video lessons Heather created and filmed during Covid to keep lessons as consistent as possible and to teach students to be independent artists. These are still used today and are available on YouTube.
KS3 'Physical Skills' Exams
Following her school's ethos to give students independent exam opportunities, at KS3 students showcase their independent physical skills. Here is the exam moderation of year 7 and 8 last year.
KS3 demonstration sketchbooks
Some of Heather's sketchbook pages she creates in lesson on the visualiser alongside students to support them. Many are in an unfinished state as they are works in progress.
More visualiser demonstrations
Examples of Heather's visualiser demonstrations from lessons. These are not complete, just in stages of completion along the way in lessons.

Promo photos at Heather's previous school when working with the SCITT ITT teacher training provider
Reportage photography sessions with KS3
When Heather helped found the school, she felt it was important to capture the history of the founding year and beyond. She led scholars to explore the local areas through the years since opening with DSLRs and PSP.
Role modelling large scale studio art
Heather makes these larger-scale artworks in the school so students can see different ways of tackling bigger art in different media. These aren't finished artworks, they are works in progress. She encourages them to get excited about their own practice and dream bigger. She role models being 'a professional artist in her own time' in the school.
Stretch and challenge demonstration drawings
Heather creates these artworks in the school studio to challenge students. By showing they can be even more creative and playful with media they are inspired to be independent artists who practise in their own time beyond lessons.
